T1 W4 Descriptive writing recount (Term 3 two week holidays)

I was once told that learning everyday is not that much “beyond a doubt” good for you I know it sounds wrong I'm not telling you to stop learning but instead of finding something interestingly new everyday you could try something diverse to your daily routine by trying to remember the conventional things you learnt on past days or shall I say yesterday it helps you to recall each and every single detail of a text and might help you on your following days of school.

That is what I have been doing in some parts of my holiday I have been trying to recall all the things I have been doing on the past 3 terms of year 8 middle school I would try to recall each tiny detail of the class not that I’m some kind of creepy stalker or anything. I’m doing it because after this term I might or might not forget Wesley or the past 2 years I’ve been in this school :).

In addition I also did other stuff in the holidays like watching MORE and MORE Korean dramas I have some kind of crazy addiction to it but it's’ not like I can’t stop, no literally I'm unstoppable when it come to K dramas. I’ve actually only watched two throughout the holiday “Let’s Fight Ghost” and Cinderella And The Four Knights” The new 2016 K dramas were astonishing it made me sob till the last tear it made me super angry and also laugh really hard :) I also watched train to busan a movie not a drama but still Korean It was so amazing!

I went to St Luke's Cinema and watched the movie ‘Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children’ with my family during the fantasy movie I ate crunchy popcorn and fizzy drinks I don’t know why but on the first ¼ of the movie all of my food just magically disappears I think that it teleported to my stomach in a short amount of time… I would rate the movie 8/10 because it is a movie that will stay with you for a long amount of time and give you horrible nightmares of the beautiful world. ;)

Persuasive Writing T3 W7

Based on the statement "There should only be two subjects in school Maths and English".

I am writing to disagree about the following statement because we as students should have for than two curriculum s, Not all of us are knowledgeable in Math or English and I believe that we should not lessen the number of subjects because subjects like Science, Art, Music, Graphics and etc... are important aspects to grow up with us as students it will more likely make us see more, feel more, hear more and of course learn more, To be honest it is very comparable to those video games we all love to play ,You see very time we upgrade or enhance on a level we would have found out what weapon to use on the next battle.

My point is that on the very near future we might not make a living based on Maths or English but we will have more of a chose on what we want to do and what we could study to make your own dream a reality like maybe art if you were given the talent to see and show something on a very beautiful/artistic way or even music if you can play some sort of instrument in a very high level or maybe cooking if you have a good interest on the sort of food that will make a tasteful and entertaining dish. We all have everything we are good at and I don't want the lessen of specs to ruin it for our future generation.

Research shows that if an average student does not achieve a good level on Math and English (at-least a grade C) will now be required to continue studying these subjects as they enter post-16 education and by 2015 will impact all young people up to the age of 18, as raised 'Participation age'means they must remain in some form of education or training. As we all know Math and English are very important subjects but it will not be right to lessen the subjects by the ministry of education.

For these reasons I think that it is not right for the ministry of education to cut down all the specs except Math and English because it will be giving a big impact to the students studies and I mean it on a bad way. I mean Math and English may be very important subjects but it is way better if we sustain the normal way of specs as it is right now, I know that it means more homework but trust me you will be saying thank you to your teacher on the long run.

Should the tuck shop sell healthy food?

I believe that selling healthy food from the tuck shop will not be that much of a good idea. I mean yes healthy food will make you strong, fit, happy all that stuff but 10-13 year old students would rather choose something “unhealthy” I know it sounds bad but, students these days just don’t really care about their own body structure that much as adults do. From this point of view students will be not buying healthy food from their school cafeteria which will lead us to bankruptcy. Well maybe we could just sell food/snacks that are unhealthy but put something beneath it like a carrot or some sort of vegetable for us kids to be tricked by you adults and never realize it ;)

Research shows that ⅓ of kiwi kids are overweight. Based on my research marketing products with pinky rainbow unicorn front covers are to attract the eyes of children and the not adults, That’s why most of us intend to buy those muesli bars covered with a layer of icing and those jelly stringy objects we love to eat, Instead of the 3 kg mandarins and the 6 for $1 apple offer on the other isle of the supermarket we sometimes still choose the other way around.

For this reason I might have proven how bad and unhealthy lollies us kids eat and maybe diabetes or high blood will be on our way, But we only become children once and those are things we have to live with, Selling healthy food on the tuck shop will make that cafeteria line deserted, In other words selling an equal amount of unhealthy food and healthy food on the cafeteria would be a very good idea so people could have more of a choice and no one will be having those kind of funny problems.

Market Day Opinion.

Do you think that market day is success Yes,No or Maybe and why?

As we all might know marketing is not as a simple job as you may think it is. You will need to 1.Ask possible customers what they need 2.Ask possible customers what they think it should look like 3.Make a design of your product 4.Finding appropriate materials for you product and lastly 5.The making of your products on a supporting company. In the end of selling them you might have made a good profit, got very kind customers and was held on a nice weather or not.

Based on my opinion market day was not a success, Well sure my group sold our products for a good amount of Wesley money but our entire class profit was not what we expected it to be. We sadly did not get enough money to go have a trip to the class’ wanted destination, Even me as a pluviophile did not like the vile rainy weather that was held on our school market day we had to move our whole stall to the hall, there was hardly enough space for everyone but I really liked the place and I would willingly “waste” my time for it :).

Winter Realive Camp (Holiday Recount)

Winter Realive is a camp for kids that are willing to find new experiences in life particularly about letting God be part of us and our daily circulations. This camp allows children that are intermediate age and are in the school Wesley and Waikowhai intermediate and in this camp we had a lot of fun! Particularly on the group activities that includes 6 teams competing against each other, and in each team we had a certain country name like USA,Fiji,NZ and etc I was a part of the group named "South Africa" we made our own chant and own face paint design with the colors black,yellow,green,white,blue and red based on the south African flag.

In the group activities we learnt to memories three verses from the bible which was 1.Even before he made the world God loved us and chose us Ephesians 2.And we are confident that God hears whenever we ask for anything that pleases him 1 John 3.God will work out his plans for my life for your faithful love o love endures forever Psalms or at least that how I remember it ;p. In the camp we did a Burma trail, Shooting gun, Zoom slide, Swimming , Archery, Commando trails, Tug of war and Bowling. For me in particular I think of Realive camp as the best camp I have been to! Iv'e only been to 3...;p

Realive has been an awesome camp PS; The food was amazing especially the ice cream desert we had at the end of day three :) Realive camp can help us in many ways like meeting new people which helps us with our communication skills, Having fun group activities that teaches us how to work together as a team and most importantly learning to welcome God in our life. If I would have to turn back time by a time machine and become an intermediate student again I would do it just to come back to this camp.

Informational Writing T2 W8

Have you ever visited a doctor before? It is normal for every hominum to get a visit from a doctor for at least 2 times a year to clear out any illness or diseases around us. Some people call them life heroes , scientist  and etc… The main question is how do doctors become doctors?

Studying medicine is a very hard goal to do, Some doctors recommend hard work and full determination in order to study medicine. If you are already studying medicine or planning to, This informational text might help you.  Learning to find cures, diagnose and prevent illnesses and to heal injuries is not an easy thing to do but their is a good possibility of making it.

My aunt once told me to not become doctor because it will limit your time with your family and will not be able to get enough sleep, but becoming a doctor is a very satisfying job. You get meet new people or getting to travel around the world ,having a huge impact in health education and most importantly having the ability to help and make your patients happier.

In the background of doctors, they are very different. It may be because of the contrary course they take through their times studying medicine. Here are some examples Dentist -studies the human bone called “teeth” Surgeons-performs surgeries that are related to different areas of medicine and Cardiologist-diagnoses and treats conditions related to the heart and vessels of the blood and more. Some people ask “What is the easiest course to take to become a doctor? Based on the information given it only depends on what course you find interesting for it to be easy for you and most likely related to their specialties

Doctors study all over the world, not to have fun but to help cure and save people from their near deaths. In the world of travelling that involves doctors there are only 3 reasons 1 is for volunteering in will take months until the government tells the doctors to go back to their homes, Second reason is finding cures for any kind of illness, marijuana was said to be a cure for cancer but doctors still do not find it as healthy for patients.

Finding cures is one of the most complex obstacle as a doctor because it will take a person a long time to study and understand a certain substance if it have any effect to help progress the patient's health. The third reason why doctors travel is “Expanding Medicine Knowledge” Doctor’s travel around to help save people from illness and find cures but there is another reason, They also want to gain experience to understand the different areas of medicine all over the world.

1.Were you surprised by any of the results and number of times you visited some sites?
I actually was not surprised of the results because I know what sites I have been through,  from the following  24 hour time period.

2.How different websites do you think you visit in 24 hour average?
I honestly think that I visit a whole lot of interesting sites on my free time It may be in order to learn something new or just for entertainment.

3.Do you think it would be any different if you did this on a weekday or weekend?
On weekdays I mostly do my work from the learning log and sometimes watch k dramas and on weekends I usually don't use my Chromebook but when I do I go on "YouTube" to catch up on my favorite people on the YouTube community. So yes I think that the results would be different if it would be n a weekend or a weekday.

Mother's Day!

Hyeongsigjeog-in insa! or "hello" in simple English. Yesterday/May,8,2016 is a day where families all over the world celebrate "Mother's Day". It is a way of honoring the mother of the family. As well as motherhood ,maternal bonds ,and the influence of mothers' in society. The modern holiday of mother's day was first held in 1908 when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother at St.Andrews Methodist Church in Grafton West Virginia.

On 7:00 clock in the morning my sister rushed into my room and whispered in my ear saying (Wake up!! it's mother's day, We still need to make breakfast for Mum). We went to the kitchen as silent as we can and cracked a couple on eggs to make sunny side up for our mother. I stirred the cup of milk for her and wait this one I'm about to tell you is quite funny because I cut up some of our neighbors flowers (secretly). But I think its fine because sometimes I water their plants accidentally. So we kind of also own it. I got 2 pink roses with short stems and only a few spikes on it. Good thing my little sister help me find the good ones. By "good ones" I mean the roses with no ants on it.

My Sister was in charge of the cards. And of course me as the sibling that is 2 years older have to buy the gift. So we walked to the master's bedroom/ our parent's room. Looking closer and closer, trying to find the perfect moment. As we shouted "Happy Mother's Day!! Well I guess my mom already knew that we were planning a surprise thanks to my sister that makes it so obvious. My mom was so unexpectedly happy that she gave us both the biggest hug. maybe next year I should just give her hug coupons :p.

Since my Dad did not help us with the surprise breakfast. My Dad decided to go to mall and buy her a gift. I it was very fun at the mall because me and my sister roamed around almost the entire place using our roller shoes. I also saw my teacher at the mall (Mr Tafea) but I did not get to say hi because I was exhausted after using my roller shoes. At the end of the day I read the book I got from the library before bedtime the name of the book was "the girl with 8 keys" I would really recommend this book to everyone I know.

In conclusion I had an amazing mother's day and nothing turned out bad (well maybe a little). My mom enjoyed her day also after eating the mother's day breakfast, reading the cards we prepared and buying her make up in the mall. In short I am looking forward to next years' mother's day. Next year I will even try harder. this goes to all mother's of the world "Happy Mother's Day!".

Term 1 School Break.

Bonjour!,Welcome to my school blog. On the first day of term 2 we were told by our teacher (Mr Tafea). To tell a 10 paragraph story about our following holiday. I would welcome you to join me in my exciting 2 week story of my school break with some of my family and friends. I really hope you will be learning or even get a slight inspiration on my writing throughout my past 2 weeks.

I don't really know how to start this because a lot of ideas is running into my mind at the moment. So lets start it of by saying... It was a hot sunny day at Mt Albert,I was just enjoying the songs in the radio my dad bought earlier this month, After a few minutes my younger sister called out to me, saying (lets go out and play outside the house) So we did, We played catch,tag and hide and seek we really still have to enjoy the moment because in a few years we will look back at this moments and smile.

In my day of festivity or recreation when no work is done. I just simply been on my chrome book or phone the whole entire time reading some fun or shall I say gibberish and interesting speech or writings on the internet. like (what plant were you in the past) or (What is the level of your intelligence). To me they all have some kind of figurative speech which makes we wonder if it is true or not. But Mr James always says not to trust stuff on the internet. All people have different opinions about the internet and I respect that.

I went shopping with my mom to buy a birthday gift for my dad since his birthday was to be tomorrow.
We went all around the mall for hours just to find the perfect gift. It was most likely because we could not figure out what male humans want for gifts. So I searched on the internet ( that would be the most reasonable thing people on the 21st century would do) so I typed what to buy for your dad on his birthday and the list of the most popular ideas were... "a mug,shirt,perfume,tie and etc"
So figure I would just him a polo shirt, It was just like last year just a little different. After me and my mom arrived home, My sister and I made our dad a birthday card because in each and every event we always have to create a card particularly for that occasion. My dad was surprised and our family had a blast at his birthday party.

My family was invited to a wedding of my mom's friend and her daughter was also one of my friends.

A wedding is a ceremony where two people is united into marriage. This is one of the most important events of a person's life. When we arrived we could not find a parking space so my family parked a little far away from the location of the wedding. It was kind of embarrassing crossing the pedestrian wearing our kind of fancy clothing for the ceremony.

We were driving to the wedding reception, At first I felt not that welcome because they were all adults in the room but then later and later I made a new friend from japan I could not really remember his name but I later found out the people at the event was a group of friendly and welcoming people. A wedding reception is held as hospitality for those who have attended the wedding. So we drove to the place where it was located, We went to the "Valentines Restaurant" it was an eat all you can restaurant, I ate so much I barely cant move and really enjoyed the food. After we left we went to congratulate the newly married couple.

Me and my mom went to an cancer awareness event near Auckland University of Technology. In the event my mom's workmate and a  friend "Stephanie" shaved her hair off to donate her hair to one of the cancer patients particularly "Angiosarcoma Cancer". Angiosacrama is a cancer of the inner lining of blood vessels and it can occur in any area of the body. The disease most commonly occurs in the skin,breast,liver,spleen, and deep tissue. She said "Instead of doing nothing, I want to share awareness of cancer by just doing the little things we can do to change the world".

To be truthfully honest she was one of the bravest person I have ever met. I would describe her as one of my role models. Even if I just literally met her I could see that even without her hair she will still be as beautiful as she is before and right now. In conclusion I have enjoyed and learnt a lot from the past 2 weeks. Playing sports with my younger sister which was a lot fun, Finding the perfect gift for my dad even if it was kind of hard I still did not give up, Going to a wedding and Joining awareness from cancer.

My Weekend (Clam Digging)!

For the last two days I spent away from school. I went to the beach with some family friends and played "Frisbee". I learnt all kinds of interesting facts about sea creatures like how fishes has over 3000 known species and how the creature jellyfish is sometimes as big as a human. After a while I went "Clam Digging" , clam digging is a North American term for a common way to harvest clams. The mud-like surface where they live in is very slippery and makes my feet feel weird. But I find this way of finding food source very fun. In about 20 minutes I collected 200 clams which I was very proud of. In the end of the day I let them free back into their home the ocean.

Our Easter Holiday.

I am going to tell you a story on how I spent my Easter Holiday...

On the first day of our holiday I started to watch new Korean Dramas I find the youth and mystery dramas the best to watch for people my age because it relates to me the most. The day after Friday I went shopping with my mom and bought some stuff for school. On Sunday I went to Church in about 12:30 and after that I went egg hunting it was very fun I was climbing trees and crossing puddles just to find some chocolate eggs after playing the game me and my family went to a cinema to see a movie named Kung Fu Panda 3 it was very entertaining to watch. Since the cinema was not that crowded me and my sister used the rollers shoes we got for Christmas 2015 around the entire place and we had tons of fun.

In The Weekend...

Hi viewers! I am going to talk about my weekend to be honest I did not do much... I just did what a normal student would do on a Saturday afternoon STUDY it even has the name on it. On Sunday I went to mass it was Palm Sunday one of the most important events as a roman catholic we blessed the palms with holy water like how the people from Jerusalem did it. I am sorry I did not go to Poly Fest or whatever that was I don't even know where it takes place or what they are celebrating I hope I don't offend anyone by this statement. This week is very important because it is when Jesus gets crucifixion and resurrection this certain actions restored a Christians faith.

Morning Fitness

Our school morning fitness. In early mornings me and my classmates exercises its kind of a way to start our daily days in school. I find this activity really amazing for our health and body. This activity helps us revive our brain and body to start our first class of the day. At the beginning of fitness we have to do 5 laps after that 5 laps we do shuttle running then we play all kinds of games. My favorite part is the games because it helps us learn or get used to working as a team. Room 9 or our room is really eager to win any kind of sports in school to help win back that trophy!

The "Mr Nancy" Workshop!

On Friday or the last school day of the week. Me and my classmates went to the school hall to see the "Mr Nancy Show" all of us were really excited for what they will perform in front of everyone. When I walked in I was really curious of what those objects or should I say props for there play is for. I saw a plastic bag,three balloons,5 bamboo sticks and A trash can. They were telling I mean showing us about the story of "tricky gods" Their creative story really caught our attention. there was singing,dancing, but mostly running. After their play they thought us how do "Drama." We were trying to do one of the slow motion fighting scenes in their play. They grouped us into 4 and we had to make an animal that would fit all four of us we chose a frog hahaha I know a frog. We had to do the sound and everything it was really fun. Then we were told to make a song about finding a baby even if it might be weird we still made it and finished our play. We were their last show which means their show with us is very special and it means a lot that they shared there knowledge with us for the last time. The main thing I learnt today was instead of hiding in your box just go out and show it to the world!

The Read Theory Website.

When I walked to class after morning tea break our teacher "Mr Tafea" told us to go to a website written in the board. The name of the site was "readtheory.org". It is quite an interesting place to learn. We do all kinds of quizzes and tests which leads you to higher points and progress. For my first five quizzes I learnt that there are all kinds of stories that was not added to our point of perspective or way of a story. Like the Great Wall Of China It was really really longer and wider than I expected! I find this website entertaining and exiting. Which leads students like me to have an easier way to learn and I would definitely reccomend this website to anyone.

My First 6 Weeks Of School

The biggest thing that happen for the first 6 weeks of school was the main sport of term 1 and that is softball. because different people from different schools around Auckland went to our school to play soft ball games.  I had to practice scoring to score the softball game. At first I was not as confident to score but later and later I learnt how to do it properly and that is how I gained that confidence, I was really glad nothing went wrong. That's why I believe in the saying "We learn something new everyday". On the second day of softball I was volunteering to cook sausages It was very fun its because I felt like I was on Mater Chief kids and because I get to do it with my friends.
